Overview

The National Patient Safety team brings together people and thought leaders across Ascension who are passionate about providing care without harm. This first patient safety summit held Nov 2022, 7th - 9th, on a virtual platform, will appeal to those in the fields of patient safety, nursing, pharmacy, physician, social work, quality, risk management and other allied healthcare professions. Join us for a 3-day virtual event that will focus on safety culture, deeper dive into root cause analysis and sustainable patient safety solutions.


Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Describe how ABIDE framework and psychological safety can create a blame-free learning environment and recognize the importance of psychological safety for improving patient safety and outcomes.
  2. Employ effective root cause analysis techniques and develop meaningful and sustainable action plans to mitigate patient harm.
  3. Identify the need for system solutions to support the way humans work, minimize the opportunity for error, and empower medical teams to deliver safe care.

Accreditation
Ascension is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the Healthcare team.

This activity was planned by and for the healthcare team, and learners will receive 12.00 IPCE credits for learning and change.

Cancellations received in writing no less than 20 days before the course will be refunded, less a 20% administrative fee. No refunds will be made on cancellations received after that date. Please send cancellation requests to [email protected]
