Overview
The National Patient Safety team brings together people and thought leaders across Ascension who are passionate about providing care without harm. This first patient safety summit was held on Nov 2022, 7th - 9th, on a virtual platform, appealed to those in the fields of patient safety, nursing, pharmacy, physician, social work, quality, risk management and other allied healthcare professions. Video Recordings of this 3-day virtual event will focus on safety culture, deeper dive into root cause analysis and sustainable patient safety solutions. This activity describes QI tools and tactics to improve patient safety and implement sustainable solutions.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Describe several tools and tactics to improve quality and safety
  2. Discuss how to measure and implement systemic solutions

Accreditation
Ascension is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the Healthcare team.

This activity was planned by and for the healthcare team, and learners will receive 1.00 IPCE credits for learning and change.
