Overview
Team simulation is part of Ascension Health’s safety initiative. Clinicians perform in real life how they practice. In emergencies, working together as a team is crucial to patient outcomes. CETT simulation provides the opportunity for bedside caregivers to work with providers and co-workers as a team in a simulated emergency situation.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Discuss signs, symptoms, and treatment modalities for the identified critical clinical patient situations.
  2. Demonstrate team response to declining patient status.
  3. Identify strengths and weaknesses of teamwork in the simulated patient emergency.

Accreditation
Ascension is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the Healthcare team.

This activity was planned by and for the healthcare team, and learners will receive 2 IPCE credits for learning and change.
