Older adults represent a large proportion of hospitalized patients. Older adults are at high risk for functional decline, adverse reactions to medications, and unrecognized conditions that can lead to increased morbidity and even death.  This lecture will provide learners with information needed to participate actively in interdisciplinary teams committed to implementing changes in clinical care that will improve outcomes for patients with complex care needs regardless of age.
