The Neuroscience and Stroke Symposium will give learners updates on diagnoses and treatment options for patients with neurological disorders, so they can better care for their patients and improve outcomes. Education will focus on updated medical, surgical, and endovascular treatments for stroke and related neurological conditions.

1. Discuss updates and treatment options for acute ischemic stroke.
2. List the indications and treatment options for Carotid Artery Disease.
3. Review updates in Speech Language Pathology care of stroke patients.
4. Discuss management of central venous sinus thrombosis.
5. Review updates and treatment options for hemorrhagic stroke.
6. Integrate APRN role into the care of acute stroke patients.
7. Distinguish key pharmaceutical interventions used in neurologic patients.
8. Explore updates in the management of concussion.
9. Discuss pathology and treatment of idiopathic intracranial hypertension.
10. Review updates in the identification and treatment of Alzheimer's disease.
11. Discuss other neurological conditions including subdural hematoma, traumatic brain injury, and meningiomas.
12. Look into neuropsychiatric roles and implications in the treatment of neuro patients.

This activity was planned by and for the healthcare team, and learners will receive 6.50 IPCE credits for learning and change.

Cancellation Policy
