Overview
As our population ages and as the concept of Age-Friendly care is becoming more mainstream, we continue to look for ways in which to infuse the 5Ms – What Matters, Medication, Mentation, Multi-morbidity, and Mobility – into the way we care for our older adult population. The 36th Annual Conference on Aging will focus on varying aging updates, issues and concerns as we apply the 5Ms to the topics of the day.  

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Explore practical challenges and limitations of blood biomarkers
  2. Apply the 5Ms of age friendly care to a variety of geriatric topics
  3. Understand the impact of new technologies on geriatric care
  4. Review common sleep disorders of older adults; Review treatments for common sleep disorders
  5. The importance of knowing your local Area Agency on Aging and how they can support the patients, clients or members you serve.
  6. Discuss GLP-1 medications and safety in the geriatric population

Accreditation
Ascension is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the Healthcare team.

This activity was planned by and for the healthcare team, and learners will receive 5.50 IPCE credits for learning and change.
