Overview

The concept of a team naturally lies at the core of team cognition. Team cognition is thus the glue that can hold a team together by improving communication, coordination, and awareness of the associated teammates. This activity will increase knowledge on education and training for teamwork in healthcare.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Identify factors that increase collective intelligence
  2. Apply factors correlated to increasing collective intelligence of a team to improve patient outcomes
  3. Review scientific data on collective intelligence, teaming, and shared learning mindset so as to maximize the care we offer our patients
