The course will provide a systematic review of the ESI rating scale and criteria to prioritize patient care in triage. Participants will be introduced to normal and abnormal clinical presentations to determine high risk and low risk patients. Geriatric, pediatric, and obstetrical patients will be addressed as part of specialty populations evaluated in triage. The course is designed for engagement of the learner through chat room, case study reviews, and questions and answers. A knowledge assessment with a passing score of 85% will be required for successful completion of the course.

1. Discuss Emergency Severity Index (ESI) level criteria
2. Correlate patient presentation with ESI level
3. Utilize ESI algorithm criteria in triage

This activity was planned by and for the healthcare team, and learners will receive 4.50 IPCE credits for learning and change.

Cancellation Policy
