The AMITA Health Behavioral Medicine Institute's focused consultation group will center on improving patient care specific to medication management and interdisciplinary care for neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism spectrum, intellectual, and other related developmental disorders. The intent of this series is to increase provider familiarity with and competency in treating this population within their setting as well as better understand additional community resources available. An interdisciplinary expert panel will lead presentations and facilitate case discussions.

1. Identify medications available for children and adolescents with psychological and behavioral issues
2. Utilize developmental and behavioral screening measures
3. Make appropriate referrals to specialists
4. Identify the importance of ongoing evaluation and monitoring when prescribing medications

This activity was planned by and for the healthcare team, and learners will receive 1.00 IPCE credits for learning and change.
