For Nurses Week 2024, nurses were invited to submit abstracts of their research, evidence-based practice, or quality improvement work. Several were selected for pre-recording to be available for on demand viewing.

1. Describe findings from new research, quality improvement and evidence-based practice projects that may impact their practice.
2. Describe bilateral Erector Spinae Plane Block (ESPB) and its impact in the postoperative pain management of adult patients undergoing cardiac surgery.
3. Describe different ways to promote patient safety initiatives for patients who require oxygen administration while on transport.
4. Identify various methods of increasing Highly Effective Modulator Therapy (HEMT) usage in Cystic Fibrosis patients.
5. Identify interventions that can be used to promote sleep and prevent delirium in an ICU environment.
6. Describe types of measurable data that can be generated to evaluate CPR quality
7. Describe metrics in CRRT operation that can be used to identify knowledge and practice gaps
8. Demonstrate confident and successful placing of ultrasound guided peripheral vascular access.
9. Describe one facilitator and one barrier to activating a nurse-led rapid response team.

This activity was planned by and for the healthcare team, and learners will receive 0.50 IPCE credits for learning and change.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations received in writing no less than 20 days before the course will be refunded, less a 20% administrative fee. No refunds will be made on cancellations received after that date. Please send cancellation requests to [email protected]
