This activity will provide an overview of inpatient management of acute stroke patients. Applying best practices and prevention in complications through excellence in care. Target audience for this activity is EMS providers, nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, social workers, and allied health professionals.

1. Understand the role that Emergency Medical Service providers play in the identification, stabilization and appropriate routing of acute stroke patients.
2. Review time saving tips in regards to running a successful Code Stroke.
3. Discuss evidence based guidelines for the acute management of acute ischemic stroke patients.
4. Define various neurointerventional radiology procedures performed on stroke patients.
5. Discuss post stroke challenges that extend beyond the expected physical debilities and how patients and caregivers can best tackle these challenges.

This activity was planned by and for the healthcare team, and learners will receive 4.00 IPCE credits for learning and change.
